01

Your lake day can include the whole family.

For many Tennessee families, the dog is part of the plan, not an exception to it. Pets are welcome with Freedom Boat Club of Tennessee, the club confirms that welcome includes surf boats, and Freedom’s national FAQ likewise welcomes dogs aboard club boats.

When using reciprocal access away from Tennessee, confirm the visiting club’s current marina or vessel rules before departure.

02

Make the boat comfortable for everyone.

Bring fresh water, a nonslip place to settle, shade when possible, and a properly fitted canine flotation device. Protect paws from hot deck surfaces and plan shorter outings when heat or humidity is high.

Keep boarding and dock transitions calm. A familiar leash and an extra towel can be more valuable than another bag of gear.

03

Good stewardship protects the privilege.

Members remain responsible for their guests, including four-legged ones. Keep upholstery and deck surfaces in mind, clean up after your dog, and tell the dock team if anything needs attention on return.

A little preparation makes pet-friendly boating easier for the family using the boat next.
