Why there is no responsible one-number answer.
Boat-club pricing changes with market, membership type, weekday or full-week access, home-club scope, reciprocal privileges, and promotions. A number quoted without those details may describe a plan you would never choose.
The current Freedom FAQ identifies three core components: a one-time initiation fee, monthly membership fees, and variable fuel costs. Optional services or premium amenities may add cost.
Compare the experience, not only the payment.
Ownership can include purchase or financing, depreciation, storage, dockage, insurance, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, trailering, registration, winterization, and the value of your time. Membership does not create equity, but the club handles much of that operating burden.
Value depends on how often you boat, the plan you select, reservation availability, and what ownership or rental costs you would otherwise incur.

Request the initiation fee, monthly dues, fuel process, contract term, cancellation or transfer provisions, included locations, reciprocal eligibility, reservation rules, premium-vessel requirements, and any optional protection programs in one conversation.
A premium organization should be able to explain the full structure clearly, without pretending the same answer fits every household.
